Fred Hendricks, Jr.
Warner Robins, GA- Fred Hendricks, Jr., 89, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, August 25, 2015. Visitation will be Thursday, August 27, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel Funeral Home & Crematory, Houston County. Graveside Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 28, 2015 in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Tifton, Georgia.
Mr. Hendricks was born on June 22, 1926, in Norman Park, Georgia to the late Fred Hendricks, Sr., and Annie Maude (Evans) Hendricks. Fred was of the Baptist faith. With courage and honor, he served his country in the United States Navy during WWII. Fred was the Owner/Operator of Hendricks Tile Company in Macon, Georgia. Fred was very active in sports, including City League Basketball; he loved drag racing, boating and fishing. He enjoyed entertaining and especially enjoyed spending quality time with his loving family. He was also preceded in death by two beloved children, Lynda Carol Gurley and Craig Hendricks.
His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife, Linda Hendricks, Warner Robins; children, Larry Hendricks (Mary Glynn); Chris Hendricks (Renee), all of Tifton; LaDonna Bridges (Tony), Warner Robins; brother, Tommy Hendricks, Macon; 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; and so many other loving family members and friends.
