Geraldine Montgomery McCrary -THOMASTON-Mrs. Geraldine Montgomery McCrary of Thomaston went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, May 24th, 2009. -Mrs. McCrary was a life-long resident of Upson County, born on August 21st, 1924, to the late Horace Joel and Emmie Smith Montgomery. -In addition to raising her family, she had worked as a hairdresser, was a payroll department clerk for Thomaston Mills, and operated a catering business. -Mrs. McCrary was a faithful, "young at heart" member of the East Thomaston Baptist Church. She served the church she loved as a Sunday School teacher and a member of the choir. -Mrs. McCrary was preceded in death by her sister, Cecil Mott, and her brothers, Billy Montgomery and Thomas Montgomery. -Mrs. McCrary is survived by her husband, Lamar McCrary; her daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie and Randy Carlson of Macon; her son and daughter-in-law, Lee and Susan McCrary of LaGrange; six grandchildren, one great grandchild, and several nieces and nephews. -Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 27th, 2009 at 11A.M., at East Thomaston Baptist Church with Rev. Joey Smith and Dr. Ed Cliburn officiating. Burial will follow in Upson Memorial Gardens. -The family will receive friends at Pasley-Fletcher Funeral Home in Thomaston on Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. -Pasley-Fletcher Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. www.pasleyfletcher.com
