It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Betty Ruth McCrary, who left us on February 14, 2026 at the age of 81. She was born in Denison, Tx on April 24, 1944 to Aline and Ellis (Doc) Shearin. She grew up in Denison before moving her family to Dallas.

She is preceded in death by her mother and father Aline and Ellis, brothers Wilbur, Robert (Bob), Walter (Dub), Husband Ed McCrary, daughter Teresa Ann Adcock, son Harold Dean Brookshire Jr, and her twin sister who passed at birth.

Betty is survived by her son in-law Gary Adcock, daughter in-law Mary Brookshire, her grandchildren Michael and Denise, Richard and Ashlee, Charlie and Aisha, Adam and Brittney. Great Grandchildren Jr, Bubba J, Tristan and Kay, Dustin and Destany, Gracie, Ella, Maci, Wyatt, Gunner and Kimberly. Great Great Grandchildren Liam, Serenity, Jameson, Blake, Katherine, Kayson, and Junior. Also many nieces, nephews, more family, and friends.

Betty was known for her love of Elvis and over the years built an extensive collection of his memorabilia. She enjoyed spending time outdoors sunbathing, tending to her numerous plants and roses, and enjoying time with her family. Betty spent most of her time on earth as "mom", "aunt Betty" and "memie" and loved being surrounded by her children and grandchildren.

Though deeply missed, Betty's memory will live through all who have loved her.

Michael Youngblood, Richard Youngblood, JR Mitchell, Tristan Youngblood, Bubba J., Dustin Holt and Adam Attaberry will serve as Pallbearers.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 18, 2026 at Fisher Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Denison, TX. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. till 1:00 p.m. prior of service.
