February 20, 1937 -
March 12, 2017
Warner Robins, GA- Heidi Vartenisian, 80, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 12, 2017.
Heidi was born on February 20, 1937 in Jena, Germany to the late Gerhardt Wuensch and Vera M. Brooks. She married the love of her life, Paul, on April 22, 1954 and dedicated her life to serving him and raising their six children. Heidi had a zest for life, a giving heart, and a love for people; she never met a stranger. She called First Christian Church her church home.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her loving husband of 62 years, Paul Vartenisian of Warner Robins; Mike Vartenisian (Debbie) of Perry, Heidi Johnson (Ken) of Bonaire, Susy Bertram (Ken) of Warner Robins, Tim Vartenisian (Linda) of Prattville, Alabama, Ken Vartenisian (Tammy) of Bowling Green, Kentucky, and Vicky Rich (William) of Warner Robins; 13 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 16th at First Christian Church in Perry with Pastor Ron Nolen officiating. At the family's request, her burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Heidi to First Christian Church, 2100 US Hwy 41 N, Perry, GA 31069.
Please go to www.mcculloughfh.com to sign the Online Registry for the family. McCullough Funeral Home and Crematory has been entrusted with Mrs. Vartenisian's arrangements.

Someone from the Aviano, Italy, days in the 1960's remembers Heidi, Paul and their lovely family with fondness and with sadness to learn of Heidi's passing. Please know that Frank and Audrey Polka send condolences and still remember how kind Heidi and Paul were as we all settled in to a new life in Italy as Paul and Frank and several others arrived from Saigon.

I am so sorry for your great loss. It is always so very hard to lose a loved one in death. God understands your loss and is near to all those calling on him in prayer. May you look to God for comfort to endure during this most difficult time. (Psalms 145:18)
