Mrs. Helon took care of my two youngest children in the baby room at Tattnall Wee Center. She made it so much easier to leave them at such a young age to return to work because I knew Mrs. Helon would treat them as they were her own. My thoughts and prayers are with your family. I knew Helon in high school and shared some wonderful memories. I am so sorry, but I know she is in a better place now and not hurting any longer. Philip--We are out of town visiting with Elizabeth's family in Greenville, SC and learned of Helon's passing from the computer version of the Macon Telegraph. Otherwise we would have been with your many friends who will attend services tomorrow. As you are aware, your entire family has had a most positive impact on many persons not only associated with FPD but also the entire community.
