CORDELE, GA- Holt Pearce, age 80 of 872 Cemetery Rd., Cordele, passed away Thursday, July 4, 2013 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, July 7th in the Union Baptist
Church. Reverend Buford Tanner, Elder Steve Pearce and Reverend Larry Willbanks will officiate. Interment will be in the family plot in the Union Cemetery with full military honors.
Mr. Pearce was born on August 8, 1932 in Seville. He was son of the late Lester W. Pearce and Clyde Harp Pearce. He was a retired Liberty National Life Insurance Agent. He was a member of Union Baptist Church where he served as deacon and Adult Sunday School Teacher. He was married to his beloved wife, Irene Watson Pearce, for over 57 years. He served his country with honor in the United States Air Force where he retired as Master Sergeant with 20 years of service. He was preceded in death by a son, Roy Wayne Pearce; a brother, Clinton Pearce; and 2 sisters, Mildred Malone and Annette Brown.
Survivors include: wife, Irene Watson Pearce of Cordele; and son, Steve (Debi) Pearce of Waycross; grandchildren, Starla (Michael) McKnight, Rena (George) Vining and Adriene (Micheal) White; 3 great-grandchildren, Pearce, Wynten and Warren McKnight.
Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Saturday, July 6th in the funeral home.
Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle is in charge of arrangements.
