Macon, Georgia - James C. "Jimmy" Jones, 87, of Macon, passed away on Thursday, December 16, 2021. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 20, 2021, at Hart's at the Cupola, with Pastors Mark Hudgins and Renee Heath officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Jimmy was born in Macon, Georgia on April 7, 1934, to the late T. Frank Jones and Dorothy Coleman Jones. He graduated from Lanier High School in 1952. He was a Veteran of the United States Army. He retired as a manager at the United States Postal service in May of 1989.
Jimmy is survived by his two sons; Bob Jones (Dianne), of Cairo, Georgia, and Wolter Jones (Rose), of Macon, Georgia; grandchildren; Stacy Elrod (Craig), of McDonough, Georgia, Bradley Jones (Erin), of Cairo, Georgia, Jason Jones (Marcie), of Forsyth, Georgia, and Brian Jones (Jessica), of Cheyenne, Wyoming; and brother, Charles Jones (Sandra), of Byron, Georgia.
He was preceded in death by his first wife of 45 years, Carla Niggemann Jones; second wife of three years, Joanne Cannafax Jones; and his parents.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Jimmy's honor to the American Cancer Society.

I send my deepest Sympathy to my friend J.C. Jones family. He was a gentle giant to work for at the Main Post Office on College St. He was well respected as a man and as a supervisor. I will miss him. Rest in Peace my friend.
