WADE JOHNSON

To the entire Grinsted family im sorry to enter this so late but i just recently found out Jason had passed away.like so many times before I have found out to late to pay my respects to another of my fallen friends from school. I remenber our days in the pulaski co. school system myself Jason, johnny Carr and lots more guys our age used to run the strip in town on friday and saturday nights as teenagers boy!! those were the days!! what I wouldn't give just to have those time's back if only for a day. cause you never know what tomorrow may bring as we all know we are never promised tomorrow.and as a teenager growing up in hawkinsville in the 80's we lost alot of our youth (friends) to either auto accidents or things we don't really want to speak of at this time I have no idea how or why Jason was taken at such an early age I had not sen nor spoken to Jason in yrs.and then to see his obituary in the macon paper it was a real jolt..im so very sorry he is gone and to his family I don't know you but I did know your husband he was a great friend and I will never forget all those mornings we skipped mr. freenys class and went riding around in the country Jason (TOOT) you'll be missed but never forotten I'll always keep our teenage yrs and all the great times we had as teens in the (VILL)hey man RED DEVILS FOREVER!!!

Some of the best times of my life were playing baseball and football in the front yard with Dana and Jason and I have always remembered those days and my playmates fondly. Unfortunately my family and I moved from Hawkinsville when i was about age ten. We were just kids then, Jason being the baby of the bunch three years younger than Dana and I. Father, Ben would teach him not to cry and be a good sport when things did not go his way during our games. His talks worked as Jason always came back outside less mad yet still having a tear stained red face with a super serious determined look. He was so cute and never gave up and we were glad our game resumed.

I saw Dana once as an adult here in Perry and was shocked not to see that same short kid :) but sadly never did see a grown up Jason that I knew of which is suprising since I live here in Perry and have been back here about nine years.

I was so sad to learn of Jasons death especially at such a young age. My family shares in your grief and feels much sympathy for you all.
