Twiggs County, Georgia - Jewell Douglas Sangster was born December 23, 1943 to the late Chester and Faye Powell Douglas and passed away on February 26, 2022.
She was raised in Telfair and Bibb Counties. She lived the 55 years of her marriage in Twiggs County. She is the widow of David R. Sangster, Sr.
Jewell is survived by her children; Beverly Anis, Yvonne Neill, David Sangster Jr., and Lynn (Rick) Jones; Grandchildren; Matt (Sandy) Sangster, Bridgitt (A.J.) Knight, Heather (Eric) Mullis, Christopher Neill, Joshua (Amanda) Watkins, Rebecca Neill, Lee (Casey) Cooper, Rachel (Donnie) Bostian, Travis Neill, David Sangster, III, Casey Cooper, Paige Sangster, Lee Jackson (Kim) and Lindsey Jones; her great-grandchildren; Gavin, Caleb, Emma, Hunterethan, Eve, Steven Lee, Ragan, Christian, Rylee, Sophia, A.J., Ava, McKenna, Kinlee, Aiden, David IV, Isabella, Mila, Brittany, Brooklyn, Bailey, Jaxson, Lee III and Liam; her siblings; Joyce Ramsey, Rosemary (Aubrey) Hammack, Opal Kitchens and Gerald (Sandra) Douglas; several nieces; nephews; cousins; and special nephew, Rory Sangster also survive.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Edsel Douglas; and sister, Doris Fowler.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday March 2, 2002 at 2:00PM in Reece Funeral Home in Jeffersonville. Reverend Charles Carter will be officiating. Burial will follow in Prospect United Methodist Church Cemetery with reading and prayer by her nephew, Brad Fowler.
