John Marvin Brown -MONTEZUMA, GA - Mr. John Marvin Brown, age 71, of Montezuma, GA passed away Saturday, June 30, 2007 at the Flint River Community Hospital in Montezuma. Graveside funeral services will be Monday, July 2, at 11A.M. in the Felton Cemetery in Montezuma, GA with Rev. Ken Myers and Rev. Jimmy Sharp officiating. -Mr. Brown was born on January 21, 1936 in Macon County, GA to the late Watt P. Brown Sr. and Susie Greer Brown. He was raised in Montezuma, GA and graduated Montezuma High School and went on to graduate from the University of Georgia with a Bachelors Degree in Horticulture. He was retired from the Georgia Department of Agriculture where he worked as an Entomologist. He lived in Tifton for 27 years. He was a member of St. Anne's Episcopal Church in Tifton. He was pre-deceased in death by his sister, Kathryn Sue Coogle of Montezuma. -Survivors include his two brothers and sisters-in-law, William and Debra Brown of Montezuma, GA, Watt and Benita Brown of Montezuma, GA; eight nieces and nephews, Howard (Kim) Brown of Montezuma, GA, Mary Margaret (Joey) Turner of Kennesaw, GA, Suzanne Brown of Montezuma, GA, Elizabeth Brown of Atlanta, GA, Kim (Plez) Hardin of Americus, GA, Gwen (Howard) Rumph of Montezuma, GA, Susan Coogle of New Orleans, LA, and Leo Coogle, Jr. of Alabama; and eight great nieces and nephews. -Flowers are welcome or memorial contributions may be made to United Hospice of Cordele, 708 East 16th Street, Cordele, GA 31015 or to Montezuma United Methodist Church, P.O.
