T. Baron Jr., Mary & Family
Mom and I are so devastated in knowing that Cousin John and Aunt Margaret both have passed away. Since we don't get The Telegraph anymore, I just became aware of their passing while researching our family history recently. I was also saddened when I saw a few years ago the passing of John, Jr. Please know that you're in our thoughts and prayers.

Dr. John Gibson was a great man of God. We got to know Dr. John and Miss Margaret when they would sit near us at Mt. Zion Baptist. I loved hearing his big bass voice whenever we got to sing old hymns that were his favorite. I once was called to come to the house to help Miss Margaret figure out how to use the new glucometer. When she passed, I wondered how he would go on without her. Please know that your family is in our prayers during this time.

Gay and Barron,
I was saddened yet somehow joyful to read of your Dad's passing. Saddened for the world's loss of this spiritual leader, but assured that the losses he has experienced in recent years are now restored. Ms. Margaret was his rock and at her funeral I was wondering how he would navigate life without her. Your Dad was a great friend to my Dad. I don't know if you ever knew it, but when Daddy fell and could not walk for over a year, your Dad visited him almost every day. He was a true pastor not mearly a preacher. He married Tommy and me 44 years ago and told me recently that he was glad that we were one of his marriages "that stuck". We are thinking of you and your family with great love and appreciate that Dr. John had a great influence on us and so many others.
