Justin Whipple Obituary

Justin Baily Whipple, 28, of Centerville, Georgia passed away on July 30, 2024.

Justin was born on October 18, 1995, to Craig S. Whipple and Lynn Bartling in Macon, Georgia. After Justin graduated as the Valedictorian from Jones County High School in 2014, he went on to get a Bachelor of Sciences, Physics with a minor in Mathematics and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Georgia College & State University.

Justin worked at Ingles in Gray after high school and while in college. After college, Justin worked as a Training Center Instructor at Houston County Association for Exceptional Citizens, Inc.

Justin loved volleyball. Justin was a self-taught player who played and won tournaments all over the east coast. He could always be counted on to help local coaches that needed a hand and younger players that wanted to learn. Justin had an infectious smile; when he smiled at you, you could not help but smile back. Justin also had a very sharp but subtle sense of humor. He loved animals, bringing home more than one stray cat and loving time spent with his friends' dogs and cats.

He is survived by his mother and father, his brother, Stephen Whipple, grandmothers, Gladys A. Whipple and Joan Bartling, his Uncle Doug Whipple and his Uncle Dave "Taz" and Aunt Margi Bartling and his Uncle Bill Bartling. Justin was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Duane E. Whipple and Henry H. Bartling.

No service will be held. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in memory of Justin to Houston County Association for Exceptional Citizens, Inc. (Happy Hour Service) in Warner Robins, GA, or an animal shelter of your choice.

I remember the time he took me on my only one 'o' one outing in 2023. He was a good friend and good boss. When I first met him we started off bad but ended on a good note after a bad start. We had the best friendship ever and gave him a second chance. I hate to see die at a young age. I was one year older than him. He even took me to TC3 to get me a soda in my second stint at TC2 before it became a C.A.G center. I remember the moment before he passed on accidently which made me sad. To Justin Whipple and his family and friends thanks for the memories.

Gladys and Craig, I am so sorry to learn of your loss. Losing a child is a tragedy, as you already know too well. May God wrap his arms around you and help you heal. My thoughts and prayers are with you and the rest of the family.

I will always remember great times playing volleyball, sharing laughs by the courts and playing with J-Whipp in his first Beach Volleyball Tournament in Savannah GA (we got 3rd in AA). He was a quick learner and before long he was competing at the highest levels! He is going to be missed!
Prayers are being lifted and sending love to the family and the rest of the volleyball community!
RIP Justin ( J-Dub, J - Whipp, JW, Whipp) Whipple!
Love Wayne and Beth Leever
