Larry Wayne Lake -EAST DUBLIN - A memorial service for Larry Wayne Lake will be held at 2:30 P.M. Saturday, March 12, 2011 at the Chan Stanley Memorial Chapel with Rev. Tommy Veal officiating. -Mr. Lake was born July 24, 1940 in Laurens County. He was preceded in death by his parents, the late William Earl and Helen Hardaway Lake and a sister, Anna Lake McNeely. He was a member of Gethsemane United Methodist Church and was retired from the Laurens County Board of Education as a teacher. Mr. Lake passed away Thursday, March 10, 2011 at Serenity Place. -He is survived by a nephew, Robert Allen McNeely; and a great-nephew, Nicholas McNeely. -In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions, in memory of Mr. Lake, be made to the Hooked on Jesus Ministries, c/o Gethsemane United Methodist Church, 501 Soperton Avenue, East Dublin, Georgia 31027. -Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements. -To sign the Online Register Book, please visit www.stanleyfuneralhome.com or call the 24 Hour Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory Line at (478) 272-0106 to hear the latest updates.
