Macon, Georgia - Larry Ernest Robinson, 75, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, November 7, 2021. A Celebration of his Life will be held on Friday, November 12, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be private at Marie Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Howard Foster officiating. The family will greet friends from 10:00 a.m. to service time at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Vineville Baptist Church, Building Fund, 2591 Vineville Ave., Macon, GA 31204.
Larry was born in Wrightsville, Georgia to the late Ernest David and Dorothy Alexander Robinson. He served his country in the United States Army. Larry was a member of Vineville Baptist Church and the Joy Sunday School Class. He dedicated his life to Mercer University for thirty years in various jobs and he was an interim pastor of several Baptist Churches in the middle Georgia area over the years. Larry was employed for several years with the Medical Center in the Palliative Care Unit. He was a devoted Christian and loving husband, father, and grandfather.
He is survived by his beloved wife of fifty-five years, Nancy Hansen Robinson of Macon; children; David Robinson (Valerie McGinley) of New Orleans, Michelle Tyde (John McBroom) of Baltimore, MD, and J.D. Robinson of Forsyth, GA; grandchildren; Walker Robinson, Gardner Robinson, Amelia Robinson, Wade Marshall, Lilli Marshall, Connor Tyde, Haden Tyde, Sadie Tyde, Lauren McBroom, Matt McBroom and Caroline Robinson.
