Macon, Georgia - Graveside Services for Ret. Major Leonard Thomas, Sr., will be held 1PM Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at Middle Georgia Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mr. Thomas, 72, passed away Thursday, November 11, 2021.
Survivors include his wife, Julia Thomas; two children; Demetris Thomas and Leonard Thomas, Jr; three sisters; one brother; four grandchildren; two great- grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Public Viewing will be held Tuesday, November 16, 2021 from 2PM until 3PM only. Social distancing will be mandatory and face masks are required.
Jones Brothers Mortuary has charge of arrangements.

My name is Jessica and I'm the daughter of mrs.carolyn wilder but I didn't know major Thomas that well though but I knew mrs.julia Thomas because I use to visit st.luke Baptist Church alot that's when the late rev. Marshall Stenson was the pastor but he was called from labour to reward and that's how? I knew Mrs.julia Thomas from visiting ,St Luke's Baptist Church when my mother was a member of St .Luke Baptist Church .but unfourtanly, I want to send my condolences to Mrs. Julia Thomas and the rest of the Thomas family and the passing of mr.major Leonard Thomas and to mrs.brittney Thomas as well. It is a hurt that can not be explained when a friend and law enforcement brother leaves our presence on this earth but it is wonderful knowing where this journey is taking my ole friend. I will remember the Majors service to his calling and the great job that he did. To his family, I feel that we will see him again in the very near future in the twinkle of an eye.
