Lola A. Phillips Frost
June 9, 1953 - May 21, 2017
Warner Robins, GA- Lola Aileen Phillips Frost, 63, went home to be with her Lord and Savior after a brief illness on Sunday, May 21, 2017. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00PM on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at Second Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Magnolia Park Cemetery with Reverend Mike Slade and Dr. Jim Perdue officiating. Visitation will be held two hours prior to service from 12:00PM-2:00PM.
Lola was born on June 9, 1953 in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Winfred and Mary (Spooner) Phillips Sr. After graduating from East Atlanta High School, She proudly served her country in the United States Army and later earned a bachelor's degree in Business Management from Georgia College State University. Lola began her career at the City of Warner Robins as a fire safety educator for the Warner Robins Fire Department; she later became the director of Senior Citizens and retired as the Program Director of the Recreation department in 2010. After retiring she worked part time at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home.
Lola was full of life, always had a smile on her face, and spread the joy of Christ wherever she went. She had a close relationship with the Lord and her willingness to share her faith touched the lives of many. She was a devout Christian woman and faithful member of Second Baptist Church where she sang in the choir. She enjoyed traveling with her husband Lanny and spending time with her children and grandchildren whom she truly adored.
A loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and sister-in-law, Lola will be sorely missed by all but the memory of her devotion to God and her family will be an inspiration to everyone who knew her.
Her memory will be forever treasured by her loving husband, Lanny Frost; three sons, John Brooks; James Brooks; Chad (Sharon) Frost; four grandchildren, Allison; Toby; Patton; Caroline; two brother, Winfred G. (Jerry) Phillips Jr.; David M. Phillips; one brother-in-law, Lawrence Frost; one sister-in-law, Connie (Charlie) Meservey; a number of nieces and nephews.
