Marion Hobbs Obituary

Marion H. Hobbs -MACON - Marion H. Hobbs, age 80, of Macon, died Saturday, November 11 in a Macon hospital. -Born in Byromville, she was the daughter of the late James Clyde Harpe and Daisy Yarborough Harpe. She was a member of Byromville United Methodist Church and retired from Snelling & Snelling Employment Agency in Macon where she was an employment counselor. -Survivors: daughters, Donna Wallace of Macon; Lisa Hobbs of Macon; brother Calvin Harpe of Edison; five grandchildren, one great grandchild. -She was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Walter Harpe, Harry Harpe, Billy Harpe, Frances Watson, Thelma Lytle, Elizabeth Summerford and Dorothy Harpe. -Graveside services will be held at 2P.M. Tuesday in Swearingen Cemetery near Byromville. -The family will meet at the funeral home at 1:30 P.M. Tuesday or may be contacted at 2448 Donald Avenue in Macon. -An online registry is available at www.brannen-nesmith.com -Brannen-NeSmith Funeral Home of Vienna has charge of arrangements.
