Frisco, Texas - Mr. Mark Philip Wood, 50, of Frisco, TX, passed away Saturday, May 13, 2023, at his residence.
Born in Jacksonville, FL on November 15, 1972, he had lived in Collierville, TN prior to moving to Frisco in 2013. Mark was a 1992 graduate of Collierville High School in Collierville, TN. He had worked in banking specializing in small business banking in Memphis, TN and Dallas, TX. Mark was a man of faith who loved the Lord and was devoted to his children. He loved playing golf and was an avid Georgia Bulldog fan.
Survivors include his children; Chase Philip Wood and Chloe Madison Wood both of Frisco; his parents; Alton and Helen Buie Wood of Macon; his sister, Kimberly Jean (Jay) Jones of Gray, GA; his twin brother, Scott Daniel Wood of Hermitage, TN; two aunts; Sue (Sid) Bryant of Macon and Sara Jean Buie Gross of Hendersonville, TN; his uncle, Lehman Wood (Brenda Parker) of Gray; nieces; Stephanie (Larry) Cusson of Hendersonville, Sydney (Brooks) Veal of Atlanta, and Jennifer Brown of Jacksonville, FL; nephews; Dusty (Kelsey) Lanford of Bolingbroke, GA, Cody (Jessie) Lanford of Augusta, and Jake Lanford of Charleston, SC; several cousins; other relatives; and friends.
A Memorial Service for Mark will be held Saturday, June 10, 2023, at 11 o'clock from the Pearson-Dial Funeral Home Chapel in Blackshear, GA with Mr. Grady Miller and Mr. Scott Wood speaking.
The family will receive friends at the chapel one hour prior to the service.
Interment will be in the Blackshear Cemetery.
