Dear Clint & Susan - Your Mom was so amazing to me while my Daddy was ill. Her strength, courage, and kindness, during her own suffering, were an unexpected blessing. She helped me accept Daddy's passing and to keep moving forward...NO MATTER WHAT. You are in my prayers and I know Miss Martha is in a better place.

Susan and family, I am so sorry to hear of "Miss" Martha's death. I know you and all of the family will miss her so very much. She always reminded me of a beautiful angel because of her sweet smile and those pretty eyes and gentle voice. I loved both of your parents - they were very special to me. I remember the pound cake she and Mr. Bobby brought to me when Daryl died - right out of the oven - only thing I could eat at the time. Susan, you are in my thoughts and prayers - if you need anything I'm just a few miles away or a phone call away. You are a special and dear friend to me! Love you, Gaye Miller Payne

Susan, I am so sorry to hear of your mother's passing, but what a wonderful legacy of love and joy she has left! I didn't know her, but remembering your sweetness and our friendship in high school, I think I saw an excellent representation of her. My prayers are with you and your family now.

A beautiful lady has entered the gates and I would like to think that there were two men standing, waiting with open arms for her grand entrance. I share your loss and to the entire family "Thanks for the Memories". Love you all, Ann

Martha, you will be missed by all of us in the Miller and Lanier "Class of 1953", also by those of us who knew you from the "old" John W. Burke School. You were a very nice person to be around. Rest in Peace old friend.
