Dear Arthur family, So sorry for your loss. I had math class in the 11th grade at Northside in 1963/1964 and Coach Arthur was my teacher. The Arthur's home at one time in the early 70's was in Frog Hollow. His home was behind my parents who lived on Dunbar Road. I went to see him and he was working in the yard. I believe that was 1972. I was home on leave. I was in the U. S. Navy. I really enjoyed seeing him. He was a good man. I saw him again at some of our High School Reunions Class of 1965. May God comfort and watch over you during this hard time. I know he will be missed by many people.

Truly he was a very special person and touched the lives of all that knew him. What a sad loss for family, friends, church family and all that he impacted through the years. He inspired students to do their very best and made such a huge impression on so many of us. There are not words that will take away the pain but so hoping that the family knows how deeply he was both loved and appreciated. His loss will leave a void in so many lives. Prayers for all during his difficult time.

Coach Arthur, as many of his students knew him, was a man of strength and fairness. He inspired so many of us to always do what was right because he exemplified that course. He was an inspiration to so many, always with a kind word of encouragement during difficult times. A giant of a man in stature, character and purpose, who influenced countless lives during his tenure on this earth. I thank God for putting him in my life.
