I KNOW THAT THIS IS A VERY HARD PILL TO SWALLOW BECAUSE TRUST ME (SIBLINGS) I HAVE BEEN THERE AND DONE IT AND THAT'S HOW I KNOW THAT GOD DOES SEND A COMFORTER. BE CAREFUL NOT TO LET THE ENEMY SNEAK INTO YOUR THOUGHTS AND CAUSE YOU TO HAVE A PITY PARTY BECAUSE I CAN ASSURE YOU HE WILL TRY IT. DON'T LET HIM STRESS YOU OUT ABOUT HOW SHE LEFT BECAUSE GOD TELLS US IN HIS WORD THAT HIS WAYS ARE NOT OUR WAYS AND OUR THOUGHTS ARE NOT HIS THOUGHTS SO WE CAN'T UNDERSTAND WHY OR HOW HE DOES WHAT HE DOES. GOD IS A MERCIFUL GOD AND I KNOW HE WAS THERE BY HER SIDE. THERE WAS NO BETTER PLACE FOR MAYA TO REST THAN IN THE ARMS OF OUR ALMIGHTY GOD. THE KEEPER OF TIME WILL SEE YOU THROUGH FOR I AM A WITNESS. Maya, you were one of my best friends. In these almost 3 years that we have known each other, we have grown extremely close. I am so sorry I was not able to come to the funeral but you know my heart. Maya, I love you and will miss you so much...I cant help but think about all the memories we have...too many to share here *smile*. Maya, I will never forget you, boo. Know that you are not alone during this most difficult time of your loss. My heart skipped a beat when I received the news that another one of our Twiggs County High School Family members was taken from us. We know that God only want the best and I am a witness that she was just that.
May you find comfort and joy in knowing that she was loved and admired by so many. The one thing I remember her most by during her high school career; she always carried a warm smile and was loved and respected by all of her peers and teachers.

To the Steele family, I met Maya for the first time on a friday 12/11/09 with her aunt Tammy my friend, and she was such a delight to be around. I was shocked to hear of her passing,I say to the family be strong for each other and lean to God for your strength.
