SMsgt. Merle Glenn Lendon (USAF Ret.) -WARNER ROBINS - Merle Glenn Lendon, 79, entered into rest on February 21, 2010. -Mr. Lendon was born on June 16, 1930 in Glencoe, Ohio. His parents, Willard Lendon and Grace Lendon Passmore, son, Merle Kenneth Lendon; siblings, Buddy Lendon and Gladys Yeager preceded him in death. -Mr. Lendon served proudly in the United States Air Force for twenty seven years, during his military career he served in the Korean and Vietnam conflicts, retiring as Senior Master Sergeant. After retiring from the military he went to work for Houston County as a heavy equipment operator. He loved spending a relaxing day fishing and listening to country and gospel music. -His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife Elizabeth J. (Bettie) Lendon, Warner Robins; children, David Eugene Lendon (Phyllis), Tupelo, Mississippi; Jeffrey Alan Lendon (Becky), Bonaire; Bettie "Cheryl" Fowler (Tony), Yatesville; grandchildren Kristy Lendon, Kim Pierson (Travis), Laurie Ann Martin (Ricky) Jessica Lendon (Daniel), Alicia Lendon, Jennifer Johnston (Steve), Mindy Lendon, Melissa Lendon, Patty Lendon, Chelle Riddle, Desiree Lendon; great-grandchildren, Christopher and, Jamie Lendon, Kayla, Tucker and Kyle Pierson, Julie Martin, Jacob, Joshua and Jared Johnston, and Kaylee Miller. -Visitation will be Wednesday, February 24, from 7:00 until 9:00P.M., at McCullough Funeral Home.
