Michael Simmons Obituary

Michael Dewey Simmons -MILLEDGEVILLE - Michael Dewey Simmons, 45, died Monday, February 13, 2006. Services will be 2P.M. Thursday at the chapel of Moores Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Brannon and Chaplin Susan Bishop officiating. Burial will follow in West View Cemetery. -Mr. Simmons was a native of Baldwin County but had made his home in McDonough. He was employed with the Department of Corrections since 1989 as Project Manager for Asbestos Programs. He was the son of the late Harold Randolph and Betty Louise Smith Simmons. -Survivors include his wife Judy Nicholls Simmons; a son Michael N. Simmons;and a daughter Graycie M. Simmons all of McDonough; two sisters Gayle Simmons of Milledgeville, Diane Poole and her husband Dennis of Eatonton; brother-in-laws, Tommy Nicholls of Sparta and Joe Nicholls of Milledgeville; father-in-law Thomas Nicholls, Sr. -The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:30 P.M. Wednesday at Moores Funeral Home.

Today is a beautiful day and we know that Mike is smiling down on his beautiful family and would love to still be here but he is sitting with his loved ones that went before him and has a fantastic set of angel wings.
