My mother, Anna Ruth Minden Yandell loved Pat and her first child, Nick.I had fond memories of Pat and Nick visiting Ft.Smith. We looked forward to each year's visit. I know all the family misses Pat as well as I do. I was just a child of five years when Mom got the word Nick had gone missing, just as the war ended. There will be a great reunion with Catherine, Pat, Nick and Donald Benton.

Remember Mrs. Benton well from my St. Joseph's days & my mama Gertrude Croom Clark. Mama was called home also at the age of 88 in 1998. I miss her every day. My thoughts & prayers are with the family during this time of loss.

Dear Nick, Don, Michael, and Claire - and families,

I was very sad to hear that Aunt Pat passed away earlier this week - and sorry that I've been so bad at keeping in touch, with Aunt Pat or any of you. But, despite the time that has passed since I last saw any of you, I feel so sad about this - I guess because I remember her so fondly - her wide smile, her charm and her dignity, her obvious care for all around her - and her strong yet soothing voice. I pray that all of you will have your own many memories soon replace the sadness of not having her with you anymore. God has another wonderful companion to bring more joy to heaven and smile down on us all. God bless you all, and your families. Larry

Don, Pam and I are leaving early in the morning to take her mother to visit Emily in St. Augustine for the weekend. Since we will be unable to attend your mother's service we wanted to let you know that we will be thinking of you and your family during this time. Although I only met your mom a couple of times, I know she had to be a great lady because she raised a great son.
