My Auntie Queenie played a very important role in my early life. She made up wonderful stories and illustrated them with her lovely drawings. She was a joy to all who had the good fortune to know her.She was one of the most positive people I have ever known and was an inspiration to us all.
Our family have such fond memories of Christmas 1982 which we spent with her and "Mac";she was so excited that she woke us all up at 5.15am because she couldn't wait any longer to help our children open their presents!
I'm sure she knew how much I loved her and it is hard to express how much I'll miss her.
I should like to thank her many friends and neighbours for caring for her like family when her real family were so far away.
Karen Mann, eldest daughter of Queenie's youngest sister Greta
