Macon, GA- Ralph Warren Hardy passed away on Thursday, October 31, 2019. A Celebration of Life will be held at 12:00 p.m., Friday, November 8, 2019, in the chapel at Ingleside Baptist Church, 840 Wimbish Rd, Macon, GA 31210. Rev. Mark Hudgins will officiate. The family will greet visitors at 11:00 a.m. in the fellowship hall. The burial will be private.
Ralph, the son of the late F.D. Hardy and the late Willa Hunnicutt Hardy was born on September 30, 1945, in Macon, Georgia. He was retired from the Macon Water Authority after 49 years of employment. After his retirement, he enjoyed fishing, gardening, and going to Smiley's Flea Market. He was a riot to be around with his sense of humor full of quick wit and edgy material. He loved his family and friends deeply. He was always giving and helping others in any way he could.
He will be greatly missed by his surviving family members including, his children, Kathryn Hardy and Jonathan Hardy(Kelly); siblings, Ronald Hardy, Charlotte Hardy, and Derrell Hardy; and six grandchildren, Brianna (Jordan), Braylon, Jaydon, Karlie, Willa Kate, and Ryan; and a great grandchild on the way, Riverleigh.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Loaves & Fishes Ministry, 651 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Macon, GA 31201.

Ralph just came into my thoughts and then I found this. We lived very close and were close childhood friends even before we went to Ft Hawkins Grammar School. Somehow life made us lose touch. He was always a special lovable character of his own and I am sure he will be missed. Rest in Peace my Friend.

Thanks Ralph for being a true friend! Your family was there with a dedicated helping hand for my Mom and Grandmom Nell in a true hour of need many years ago. When I was born, you were there, you watched me grow and helped along the way. You were always positive and had a smile for me. You were quick to respond to go be beside my grandmother Nancy when my Grandad passed of heart failure at his home in 1971. When I think of you Ralph I will always see a happy smile and hear you say HEY MIKEY! You are missed Ralphy!

First, my condolences to the entire Hardy Family and friends. I worked with Ralph at the MWA for 34 years. I was always his partner in crime, but we got the job done! I was always his sidekick while cooking for the Board Committees and other plant functions. If anyone wanted Ralph they would have to contact me first. We were best friends. I'll love you forever! I can barely type this message knowing I can't pick up the phone and call you. Take your rest Ralph, and I'll see you on the other side. I LOVE YOU!

I worked with Ralph for about 13 years at the Water Authority. He was a very kind soul and was everyone's friend. I don't think he had an enemy in this world. He took care of all of us and we all loved him. Rest in peace my friend. Your peace is in your beautiful garden in heaven.
