Richard Davis (Pistol) Barkley, III -OPELIKA, AL - Richard Davis (Pistol) Barkley, III, 38, died Saturday in Opelika. Funeral services will be held at 3P.M., Thursday at Snow's Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono Avenue, with burial in Macon Memorial Park. The family will meet friends from 7:00 until 9:00P.M., Wednesday at the funeral home. -Mr. Barkley, son of the late Richard Davis Barkley, Jr., was born in Fort Valley and had lived in Savannah before moving to Opelika, Alabama recently. He was a sales representative with Lowe's Home Improvement Stores and was of the Baptist Faith. -Survivors include his son, Richard Davis Barkley, IV of Opelika, AL; his daughter, Kaitlyn Barkley of Lake Park, GA; his mother, Martha Jean T. Barkley of Opelika, AL; a brother, Grady Barkley of Opelika, AL; four sisters, Winnie Morrell of Reynolds, GA, Patricia Carter of Thomasville, GA, Tresa Floyd of Smyrna, TN and Pam Lofland of St. Augustine, FL. -Snow's Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono Avenue, has charge of arrangements.
