Robert Holliday Obituary

Robert E. Holliday -DUBLIN - Services for Robert Edward Holliday, age 84, of Dublin, will be held at 2:00P.M. on Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at New Bethel Baptist Church. Rev. Grady Mimbs will officiate. Burial will follow in Dublin Memorial Gardens. -Mr. Holliday retired from Bibb Manufacturing. He was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church and the Men's Adult II Sunday School Class. He served with the Men's Ministry and the Benovelance Committee of the Church. -Mr. Holliday was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie B. Holliday and Willie Pearl Jackson Holliday; brothers, Roy Holliday and Quinton Holliday; and sisters, Mary Holliday and Addie Pearl Proctor. -Survivors include his loving wife of 57 years, Elizabeth Scott Holliday, of Dublin; children, Carolyn (Joe) Perkins, of Juliette, Kathy (Tony) Stevens, of Juliette, Eddie (Wanda) Holliday, of Macon, Andy (Alisa) Holliday, of Dublin, Lesa Holliday (Ricky) Maddox, of Dublin; twelve grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren due in April; sister, Betty (Bobby) Young, of Helena; and brother Kenneth (Sue) Holliday, of Macon. -Lee Perkins, Scott Perkins, Mat Smith, John Holliday, Alan Hamilton, and Flint McDaniel will serve as pallbearers. -The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6:00P.M. until 8:00P.M. at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. -Please visit www.townsendfuneralhome.com to sign the online memorial register.
