Macon, Georgia - Funeral Services for Robert Zeigler, Sr. will be held 1 PM Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at Union Baptist Church. Interment Services will follow at the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Milledgeville, GA. Mr. Zeigler, 90, passed away Monday, August 25, 2025.
Survivors include his six children; brother; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
Public Viewing will be held Tuesday, September 2, 2025, from 4 PM until 5 PM.
Jones Brothers Mortuary has charge of arrangements.

It is with deep sadness to hear about the passing of Lt. Robert Ziegler. He was one of my supervisors inside the corrections division of the Bibb County Jail. Lt.Ziegler gave me very good advice in how to treat the inmates in the jail by always telling me that they were human beings first before being inmates and I always carried that advice with me. In my opinion Lt Ziegler was a good person and mentor for me. All of the wisdom that he gave me I will never forget it . To all of the family members I want you to know that Lt. Robert Ziegler was a good man and he will be surely missed . Peace to all of you !

Mr. Zeigler attended a special Zeigler presentation several years ago at Cannonball House in Macon where it was my honor to meet him. He and I share a Zeigler ancestor and the presentation was about our shared connection but mostly his line of descent. Heartfelt prayers for peace and comfort for his loved ones as they go through this difficult time.
