July 8, 1950 - April 21, 2023
Warner Robins, Georgia - Mr. Rodney Joseph Currey, 72, went to be with the Lord and Savior on April 21, 2023. A Celebration of his Life will be held Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home from 5:00 PM until 5:30 PM. A Visitation for friends and family will be held at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home, Tuesday, April 25, 2023 from 5:30 PM until 7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully request donations be made to The Carl Vinson VA Medical Center, 1826 Veterans Blvd, Dublin, GA 31021.
Rodney was born on July 8, 1950 in Asheville, NC to the late Marguerite and George Currey. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother and sister-in-law; Robert (Gayle) Currey.
Rodney was a loyal man who dedicated his life to serve his country and family. He enlisted into the United States Army in March of 1970, where he fought in the Vietnam War. After the Army, Rodney continued to serve his community at Robins Air Force Base. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Rodney is survived by his beloved wife, Betsy Currey; children; Matthew (Jaime) Currey, Adrienne (Steven) Boeschen, and Jennifer (Bryce) Carpenter; grandchildren; Evan Ramsey, Annabelle Blair, Josh Blair, and Chloe Carpenter; brother, Daniel (Donna) Currey; and a host of extended friends and family.

I can't believe it has been almost a year since we lost you. We miss you every day, but we know you are looking down and smiling to see your girls taking good care of your sweetheart ... together. Adrienne is a blessing, even from a distance, and mom and I are so grateful for her loving support. We love you, Papa, and we hope we are making you proud.
