Rodney Easler Obituary

Rodney Scott Easler
June 24, 1956 - September 11, 2021
Young Harris, Georgia - Rodney Scott Easler, loving husband, daddy, PawPaw and friend, was called home to Jesus on September 11, 2021. Rodney was born on June 24, 1956.
Rodney was greeted at the gates of Heaven, by his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Myrtice Hicks, who referred to him as "the apple of her eye" as well as his beloved brother, Bradford Dain Easler.
Those who knew and loved Rodney best were often entertained by his sense of humor. Together with his best of friends, he enjoyed deep sea fishing, camping at Lake Sinclair, and the camaraderie of driving dump trucks on the "Big Road."
Although Rodney was taken too soon, he leaves behind an array of loving memories with his wife of 30 years, Elaine Shepherd Easler; his two daughters; Amanda "Mandy" Easler Mracek, (husband, Paul Mracek), Meredith Leigh Staton, (husband, Judson "Judston" Staton), and grandson, Vance "Van" Bradford Douglas Mracek. His lap will be missed by his beloved dogs, Pandi Bear and Sunshine.
The family will privately gather for a Celebration of Life for the most loving and giving of men.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Rodney's memory to Humane Society's Mountain Shelter, P.O. Box 1252, Blairsville. GA 30514

Nikki, I was so sorry to hear of Rodney's passing. I know how much you loved Rodney even with the problems in the last several years. All the dealings I had with him were very pleasant. He always seemed to be a straight up and honest person. Again sorry for your loss.

To my close friend Nikki and the entire Easler family, I am so sorry for your loss. I´ve known the Easler family for 40 years. Ms. Mariana always said she loved all her children but Rodney was special. I remember when Nikki and I had to drive to Carrabelle Fl so Ms. Mariana could see Rodney for 15 minutes. Hopefully the knowledge that Rodney was met with open arms and big smiles by Ms. Myrtice and Ms. Mariana, the two who loved him most,
