Rudolph was our sweet, kind neighbor @ Carlyle Place & we enjoyed our frequent chats. His mind always seemed to be keen and he was a happy man who participated in playing Joker and eating in the dining room with friends up until he went into the hospital. April 19th & 21st of this year we met him at his peony garden and picked a total of 40 beautiful peonies for his annual church arrangement. He knew we were always happy to help him with anything he asked us to do. It blessed us to be able to call him our friend & our neighbor. The residents of Carlyle Place miss him greatly as he was with us every day; and next April we will certainly miss the beautiful peonies he so happily shared with all of us. His memory lives on........

Rudolph was a kind, caring man who loved the practice of medicine. He took care of my parents, Millie and Jule, for decades; as well as countless others. It was thoroughly fitting for him to be called, “an icon and institution.”
I see him now, in my minds eye, striding down the hospital corridor, bow tie straight and tight, suit jacket unbuttoned, med bag in hand, smiling.
Evelyn Swilling used to tell stories of he and my mother tearing up the dance floor. My mama always said that Rudolph and Joe Daniel were the best jitterbug partners in town! When she and he hit the floor, people stopped and watched.
My sincerest condolences to Suzanne, Zoe, Rudolph and families. He was beloved.
