I was a young nurse at The Medical Center back in the 70's and took care of Sam before he died. I will never forget how attentive Mr. Rivers was to his son. He was truly a loving father. I never saw him again after that, but have thought of him often over the years. He and his son touched my life forever.

My deepest sympathy to Mr. Rivers family. I worked for Mr Rivers when he was manager of the Kroger store on Second Street back in the mid fityies. I remember him as a very good person.
