Macon, Georgia - Funeral Services for Deacon Samuel White, Jr., will be held 11AM Saturday, August 20, 2022 at St. Luke Baptist Church. Rev. R.L. White will serve as Eulogist and Pastor Jarvis Adside will officiate. Interment Services will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Deacon White, 85, passed away Friday, August 12, 2022.
Survivors include his wife, Gwendolyn White; daughter, Tangela White Hinton (Dr. Benjamin); sister, Mildred Jean Hall; brother, Roy James White; two grandchildren; Dr. Benjamin Samuel Hinton, II, Nathaniel Robert Hinton; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Public Viewing will be held Friday, August 19, 2022 from 4PM until 5PM ONLY. SOCIAL DISTANCING WILL BE MANDATORY AND FACE MASKS ARE REQUIRED.
Jones Brothers Mortuary has charge of arrangements.

I knew Mr. White as a co-worker at Robins Air Force Base. He was a very nice and friendly man. My condolences to his family who I am sure, will miss his presence greatly. May God be with to guide you through this time of grief

I remember Mr Sammy working at the Medical Center and that warm smile of him. But what I remember most the story he told of how he got to the Medical Center. Even though he worked at WRAFB, Mr Sammy said one year he decided he would work at the Med for that year to get extra money for his daughter's Christmas. And at that time he had put in many years and he just laughed. So Tangela I'm sure there were many Christmases that you got what you wanted, but most of all you got what your Daddy wanted you to have. Gwen, Tangela and family my deepest condolences to you all. Mr Sammy was a good man.

Mr. Sammy was a hard working family man. For many years he worked on the base during the week and would come work with us a Medical Center on the weekend. He was a treasured, dependable worker and a friend. May God bless and you is our fervent prayer.
