Macon, GA- Sherrie Denise Griffin, 41, passed away on Friday, February 23, 2018. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, March 1, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Earl Smith officiating.
Sherrie was born in Macon, GA to the late Jerry E. Griffin and Jacqueline Mobley Griffin. She was preceded in death by her nephew, Stanley Byrd. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. Sherrie was a loving daughter, mother, aunt and friend.
She is survived by her daughters, Adara Fortson and Taylor Griffin, mother, Jackie Griffin, sisters, Tammy (Allen) Fortson and Penny Fortson, nieces, Stephanie Brookins, Crystal Byrd, Britney Rochester, Braylyn Rochester, Katie Mikles, several great nieces, nephews and her best friend, Wendy Johnson.

Sherrie was the greatest friend I've ever had. She was always making people laugh. I pray you're at peace with your dad and Stanley right beside God. You will always be in my heart and you'll never leave my mind. You are loved more than you could've ever known. I have to say goodbye to your body tomorrow but I'll never be able to say goodbye in my heart. I'll see you again one day
