Terence Monaghan Obituary

TERENCE "SCOTTIE" MONAGHAN
PERRY, GA- Terence Edward "Scottie" Monaghan, 68, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 16, 2018. The family will gather to celebrate his life at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 19, 2018, from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. Memories will be shared by anyone who wishes to share at 5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
Terry was from Scotland, but he was a proud American. Known as "Scottie," he was the life of the party. He marched to the beat of his own drum…and the tune was "funky!" Generous, loving, and kind, he made his friends his family. His quick wit, spoken in heavy Southern, Scottish brogue never failed to make people laugh. Underneath all this was a gentle man who went out of his way to make everyone feel special. Scottie was an amazing father who cared for his family and friends. He was like a second father to some and made all of the kids smile when he was around. Scottie was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Charlotte Quigley Monaghan.
Left to cherish the memories they made with Scottie are his loving and devoted wife of 32 years, Suellen Clements Monaghan; his daughters, Timi Monaghan Snyder (Jeff) of Aurora, Colorado, Kelly Monaghan and Katie Monaghan, both of Warner Robins; his grandchildren, Scottie Snyder and Kameron Snyder; his sisters, Linda Kirkwood (Robert) and Elizabeth McKinney, both of Scotland; and all of the other extended family members whom he loved so much.
Condolences for the family may be left in the online guestbook at www.watsonhunt.com. Watson-Hunt Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.

He will be missed. Scottie had the best sense of humor. He always had a good joke to tell you. I'm happy to have known him as a coworker and a friend.
