November 12, 1934 - November 3, 2021
Macon, Georgia - Thea Elizabeth Weir DeFore, 86, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, November 3, 2021. A Celebration of her Life will be held on Friday, November 5, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Joe Williams and Pastor Robert Webb. The family will greet friends from 2:00 to 2:45 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Parkway Assembly of God, 5191 Eisenhower Parkway, Macon GA 31206. The family has requested social distancing and mask be worn for those in attendance.
Thea was born in Macon, Georgia to the late John Weir and Donnie Lee Lyles Weir. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Brooks Hamrick. She was a graduate of A.L. Miller High School class of 1952 and was the head majorette. Thea was a member of Parkway Assembly of God. She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
She is survived by her husband of sixty-eight years, Joseph "Joe" DeFore of Macon; daughter, Madonna (Gene) Hamrick of Macon, Belinda (Bob) Wells of Rockwood, TN; grandchildren; Misti (John) Sikes, Brandon Hamrick and great- grandchildren, Tristan and Spencer Joe Sikes.

I just found out Mrs Thea passed I had no idea. Donna and family I am so sorry for your loss. She was such a wonderful and caring person. My heart goes out to each of you. And to Joe my heart breaks for you to lose your beloved wife of so many years. My thoughts and prayers are with you for the days to come. May god bless each of you.

Joe, Donna, Belinda and family I just learned of Thea´s passing late yesterday afternoon. My prayers are with all of you. She was the sweetest person and my mom loved her dearly. I have such great memories of her and all of you.

My friend, I will miss you~ We've been friends since 5th grade~~riding our bikes up and down Rembert Ave. ~~And best friends since high school being majorettes~~ and then thru life~ visiting in Macon every summer since my move to Maryland~~Our families have been together a long time~~I know where to find you now~ in heaven with Jesus~~May God bless Joe and Donna and your families~~ with comfort and strength~~ I love you~~ Always~~
