I had the absolute pleasure of spending time with Mr and Mrs Dobbs in my early 20's and the stories he shared with me have stayed with me all this time. He was a great man, and Mrs Dobbs was more than wonderful as well. Mr Dobbs and I would sit and talk about his days as the belly gunner of a B-24, he showed me his letters and his journals from WWII, he told me stories and it made me cry every time. Mr Dobbs was a true hero, he flew hundreds of missions without serious injury and he loved Mrs Dobbs in a way only a true gentleman could. It was beautiful and they both meant A LOT to me. I learned how to be a better man from him. I'm sure they are together in heaven smiling down on their loved ones.

I'm deeply sorry to hear of Tom's death & my sympathy is extended to the family.
Tom was a good person and I respect and appreciate his guidance at the start of my insurance career.
It can truly be said Tom Dobbs was a true patriot, family man, christian and southern gentleman.
I consider myself very fortunate to have known Tom.

I remember "Pops" and how he was always willing to bring things (lunch, needed items left at home) to Rebecca (or Becky as he called her) and Jake and Sadie to the library at Tattnall. He was always a kind and friendly man.
