Tony Lumley Obituary

Tony M. Lumley -THE ROCK - Trooper Tony M. Lumley, age 36 of The Rock, passed away Tuesday, December 2, 2003 from injuries he received in an automobile accident in the line of duty. -Mr. Lumley was born in Laurens County on October 26, 1967. He was a 1985 graduate of the Pike County High School and has been with the Georgia State Patrol since October 2002 where he was stationed at Post #1. He was a member of the Hollonville Baptist Church and a member of the Montgomery Masonic Lodge # 31 in Zebulon. -Survivors include wife, Misty Lumley; daughters, Nikki and Brooke; father and mother, William and Sara Lumley of The Rock; brother, Tim Lumley of The Rock; sister, Kimberly Smith of Augusta; sister-in-law, Christy Silver of Concord; several nieces and nephews. -Funeral services for Trooper Tony Lumley will be conducted Friday, December 5, 2003 at 11A.M. at the Griffin First Assembly of God Church. Reverend Al Shackelford will officiate. Interment will follow in the Moody Memorial Gardens in Zebulon. Friends may visit the family on Thursday from 6:00 until 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home and other times at the residence of TFC. Mike and Tammy Chapman, 308 Chappell Hill Road, Williamson, Georgia. In lieu of flowers a trust fund has been set up at the United Bank, 110 Griffin Street, Zebulon, Georgia 30295, for his children. -Conner-Westbury Funeral Home, 1891 W. McIntosh Road, Griffin, is in charge of arrangements.
