Macon, Georgia - Vickie Lynn Etheridge Flynn, age 70, of Macon, GA, passed away December 20, 2021. A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, December 23, 2021 at Snow's Memorial Chapel-Pio Nono Ave. at 2:00PM with Reverend John Prettyman and Reverend Rodney Queen officiating. The family will greet friends from 1:00PM until Service time. Interment will be held immediately following the service at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. .
Mrs. Flynn was born in Macon to the late Benjamin and Cora Lee Fellows Etheridge. She was a 1969 graduate of A.L. Miller High School. She retired from Robins Air Force Base. She was a charter member of Central Fellowship Baptist Church where she served many positions in the church. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister.
Mrs. Flynn was preceded in death by her brother, Benjamin Etheridge and nephew, Micky O'Neal. She is survived by her husband of fifty-one years, James "Jimmy" Flynn; son, James Brice Flynn; grandchildren; Zach, Hunter, Eli, Haylie; great-grandchildren; Paisleigh, Everett James; sisters, Betty Childers, Gerry Watts, Sara Mayson; sister-in-law, Charlotte Etheridge; several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
A special thank you to the staff at Macon Health & Rehabilitation, especially Sherry Furtney and Laura Atkins. Mrs. Flynn also enjoyed gathering with other graduates of A.L. Miller High School, Linda Cooper, Paula Pender, Susan Renfroe, Kathy Conger, Elaine Attaway, Elaine Walker, and Becky Holton who will be seated together at the service.
