I remember all the years since Vince and I served as Deacons at Morningside Baptist. While Renee and I were married, we were always visiting Vince and Nell particularly after Church on Sunday. They were dear friends, along with Terry, Sara, and Russell. I know this post is years late, but I asked Ruthie Abney and she told me. I loved this entire family so much.

Aunt Nell, Terry & Russell,
It's been a very long time since the last time I saw you all. The one thing that I can remember though is the love that Uncle Vince had for Aunt Nell and his family. I know there is a large void in your lives now that he is gone, but with the love that he had and shared with you all will help you get through this very rough time. Even as a child I remember how much he showed the love he had for his family. Now that he, unfortunately, has passed his love will live in his children and grandchildren. I am now and always have remembered you in my prayers. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Aunt Nell, Terry, Russell and family:
Michael and I are so saddened to hear this news and cherish the times, memories, and friendship of your entire family. Uncle Vince's passing marks the earthly end of a great life. What a man of integrity he was!
If I could only mention one rememberance of him it would be his profound love for Aunt Nell and how everytime we saw him, he would say how much he loved her and she would say "that's my Honey Bunny". Uncle Vince was proud to show employees at B & Wmson the sticky-pad paper with a number on it under his badge, worn on his anniversary to show how many years he had been married.
Please know that you all are in our thoughts and prayers even across the miles. We regret so much that we can not be with you at this time, but know that you are in our hearts especially this week and in the days to come.
All our love,
Renee and Michael

I'm sorry to learn of Vince's passing. I knew him from B&W, and he seemed to have such a sweet spirit. He spoke to me on more than one occasion about his family, and the love he felt for you all really was evident when he did. May your memories bring you peace from your sorrow.

Nell Terry Russell and all family members. Our hearts go out to all of you. All of us have suffered a great loss in Vince. We will always remember him as being a great husband to You Nell a loving and caring Father to Terry and Russell and a Great Granddaddy to all the grandchildren. But, most of all he was a great friend to all that came into contact with him. We loved him for who he was and all the little things he did to help others. Our prayers are with all of you as you prepare for the visitation and funeral of Vince and the days ahead. We love all of you. Agnes, Kate, and James
