November 17, 1924 - August 12, 2016
Marietta, GA- Graveside services for Warren L. Perry, age 91, will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, August 15, 2016 at New Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Dublin, GA. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Sunday at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home in Dublin, Georgia. Warren Perry died Friday, August 12, 2016.
World War II veteran, retired from Macon Electric, he was a member of IBEW local 1316 for over 50 years and served in the positions of Vice President and on the Executive Board for many years. A former deacon and regular usher at Southside United Methodist church in Macon, he retired at age 63 and spent many hours working for charities: the American Cancer Society and for Alzheimer's causes. After he moved to Cobb County in 2008 to be with his two daughters, he joined several groups within the Cobb County Senior Services and remained active up until a few months ago.
Warren was preceded in death by his parents; White and Bernice Perry; wife, Jeanette Perry; son, Harold W. Perry; grandson, Joey David; sisters, Yvonne Powell, Jewell Savage, and Marian Edwards and brothers, Felton Perry and James Perry.
Survivors include his children, Helen Perry and Patty Perry of Marietta; granddaughters, April Cook and Blair Perry Bodiford; siblings, Vivian White, Virginia Dupree, Ray Perry, and Mary Ellen Slaughter.

I remember Jeanette and Warren Perry well, thanks to my sister/brother-in-law Frances and Olin Fulcher. Warren remained very active until he moved to be closer to his daughters. Our sympathy to you, Helen and Patty for the los of your Dad, and also Hal.

Slim was a Fine man . He and James worked together for many years .....we also Square Danced with him...He will be missed.
