Wayne Sweat Obituary
November 14, 1948 - March 1, 2018
Bonaire, GA- Wayne Ferrell Sweat, 69, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, March 1, 2018.
Wayne was born in Jacksonville, Florida to the late Wilbur and Novia Peavy Sweat on November 14, 1948. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and retired from Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base. In retirement, Wayne enjoyed being a videographer for Artistic Images. In his free time, he enjoyed coaching youth sports and fishing, but spending quality time with his family was his favorite way to pass the time. Second Baptist was his church home.
He leaves his memory behind with his devoted wife of 47 years, Dianne Sweat of Bonaire; children, Darrell Sweat (April) of Warner Robins and Stephanie Griffith (Kevin) of Kathleen; grandchildren, LeeAnder, Aubrey, Gavin, Kameron, Alex, and Konner; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon on Monday, March 5, 2018 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. Following the service, Mr. Sweat will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery. Reverend Mike Slade will officiate.
