William Edward Starr -MACON - William Edward Starr, 71, died Sunday in a local hospital. Graveside services will be held at 4 p.m., Thursday at Macon Memorial Park with Pastor Tim Long, Pastor Richard Jelly and Pastor Glen Lyles officiating. The family will meet friends from 6 - 8 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home and suggests that memorial contributions be made to First Evangelical Church Building Fund, 3601 Fulton Mill Road, Macon, GA 31206. -Mr. Starr, son of the late Edward Worthington Starr and Vera Maude Salter Starr, was born in Douglas, GA. He was a 1959 graduate of Georgia Tech and was an accountant at Plant Schearer. Mr. Starr was a member of First Evangelical Church and was the father of the late Vicki Kay Adcock. -Survivors include his wife of more than forty-eight years, Lynn G. Starr of Macon; his daughter, Kimberly (Jeff) Woodard of Macon; his sons, Rodney Adcock of Jackson and Bill (Amy) Starr of Ellaville, GA; seven grandchildren, Jessica Adcock, Josh Adcock and Jeremy Adcock, all of Jackson, Lauren Williams and Seth Williams, both of Macon and Walker Starr and Summer Starr, both of Ellaville; his brother, Robert (Joyce) Starr of Atlanta; several nieces and nephews; two brothers-in-law, Bill Gresham of Macon and Charles Gresham of Ocala, FL. -Visit www.mem.com to express tributes. -Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery has charge of arrangements.
