Byron, GA- Pastor Bill Stuckey, Sr., 71, was summoned by God to His heavenly home on the evening of Tuesday, April 11, 2017.
Pastor Bill was born on October 30, 1945 in Roanoke, Virginia to the late Thelma and Rev. Earl Stuckey. On June 21, 1968, he made the beautiful Brenda Allison Landreth his wife, and they devoted their lives to faithfully serving the Lord and raising three children to do the same. With 40 years' experience in preaching, Pastor Bill preached at the Highest Praise Church of God in Warner Robins for many years before retiring as pastor of the Bread of Life Church of God in Byron.
Pastor Bill enjoyed being a member of the Royal Rangers and FCF, as well. He was a mentor to pastors and ministers and worked with youth camps every summer. Pastor Bill assisted in raising funds for the YWEA and co-authored the program, "Pioneers for Christ" with Bill Harper, as well. His love for the Lord, people, and his family will be remembered by all who knew him.
He leaves his memory behind with his loving wife of 48 years, Brenda Landreth Stuckey of Byron; children, B.J. Stuckey (Dawn) of Warner Robins, Susan Stuckey Hicks (Corey) of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, and Kristi Stuckey Herndon (Tommy) of Charleston, South Carolina; 13 grandchildren; brother, Kenneth Earl Stuckey (Paulette); sisters, Jeanette West (Benny) and Jean Whisenant (Jerry); and a host of loving nieces, nephews, and extended family.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 14th at Bread of Life Church of God, 244 Barker Road, Byron, GA 31008 with Bishop Alan Kea and Bishop Gary Lewis officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
Friends may go to www.mcculloughfh.com to sign an online registry for the family and to view the memorial video once it has been finalized. McCullough Funeral Home has the privilege of being entrusted with Pastor Stuckey's arrangements.

Dear Stuckey family: I am so sorry for your loss. May God comfort you during this hard time. I went to school with Bill at Northside High School and graduated with him in 1965. He was a very friendly person. I know everyone that knew Bill will miss him. Oh Lord hear my prayer, Rest eternal grant to Bill Stuckey, O Lord; and let light perpetual shine upon him. May his soul, and the souls of all the departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

I have the fondest of memories from working with my great friend Bill on the South Georgia PFC board. We shared some most enjoyable times together and I will miss him until I see him again. Praying God's special blessings on all his family in this time of sadness. There is not comforter like the comforter Jesus sent backe to us from the Father. May he overshadow you all non and until.
