William Studstill Obituary

William Lee "Bill" Studstill -PERRY - Funeral services for William Studstill will be held today, November 7, 2006, in the sanctuary of Oaklevel Baptist Church, 439 Lake Joy Road, Kathleen, at 1P.M. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery with Rev. Clyde Turner officiating. -William Lee Studstill was born June 14, 1937, to the late Ora Lee Lester Studstill of Jacksonville and William Henry Studstill of Scotland. He was preceded in death by a son, Cedric Moore, and two brothers, Jackie and Robin Studstill. He departed this life at his home on Thursday, November 2, 2006. -He received his earlier education in the public schools of Telfair County, later receiving his GED from the Houston County School System. Bill worked most of his adult life as a chef for the Howard Johnson's Restaurant for over twenty-two years. Later he was employed by the Denny's Restaurant for over ten years. He was currently employed at Northside High School as a lead custodian/light maintenance worker for over ten years. Bill was a member of Oaklevel Missionary Baptist Church of Kathleen. He previously served as head of the Trustee Committee and The Feed My Sheep Ministry and currently served on the Trustee Board. -He leaves to mourn his passing, a devoted wife, Barbara Little Studstill of Perry; daughters, Ramona Studstill and Chandra Hill of Perry, Sophia Crawford (Fred) of Macon, Mamie Pleasant of Texas, Angelia Stripling (Ernest) of Stockbridge; sons, Preston Studstill (Marchella) of Marietta, Kevin Studstill of Salt Lake City, UT, Roderic Studstill of West Palm Beach, FL; grandchildren, Keesha, Nicholas, Donald, Tarnae, Sean, Christopher, Kyle, Averil, Michael, Shumona, M. Lentay, Eric Lashawn, Elizabeth, Vicki, Brianna, Kaitlyn, Jasmine; godchildren, Tonishia, Donterrio, Javaceo, Kelvion; siblings, Annie Ruth Coney (Aaron) of Rentz, Lucy Mae Phillips of Hollister, CA, Samantha Wood (Marvin) of Scotland, Kimberly Wilcox of Scotland, Gloria Studstill of McRae, Ellen Pound (Herman) of McRae, Joyce Solomon of Macon and Arthur Ellis of McRae; aunts and uncles, John Lester (Esther) of Jacksonville, Solomon Lester of Detroit and Leila Lester of Jacksonville; father-in-law, James Little (Gerladine) of Perry; brothers and sisters-in-law, Dennis Little (Melanie) of Savannah, Cedric Little (Marcella) of Macon, Glenda Carswell (Tom) of Palmetto, Jewell Studstill of McRae; a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. -Bobby Glover Mortuary in charge of arrangements.
