Andrew "Andy" Clevenger
March 5, 1982 - Aug. 23, 2023
MADISON - Andrew "Andy" Clevenger, 41, died on August 23, 2023, in Madison, WI. Born on March 5, 1982, Andy is the son of Joe Clevenger of Arlington, WI, and Brenda Bland of Westport, WI.
Andy was an avid nature and animal lover; he is fondly remembered for his habit of moving turtles and other small animals off the road to safety. He loved spending time with family; he would walk or bike many miles every week from Madison to his mother's house in Westport to visit with her and her cats and could always be relied upon to step up and provide cat-sitting duties whenever needed. He was very naturally skilled at fixing things, a talent he inherited from his father. An excellent whittler, his mother still loves and keeps some of his early works. In his final years, he worked extensively in window replacement and other home repair and remodeling, even establishing his own business, "Andy's Handyworks."
Andy was preceded in death by his infant twin sisters, Margaret Ann "Maggie" and Chris Clevenger in 1984, and his paternal grandfather Maxwell "Max" Clevenger. Survivors include his mother, Brenda (Dave Sarocka) Bland; his father, Joe (Pauline) Clevenger; his sister, Samantha (Miguel) Benson; his maternal grandparents; his paternal grandmother; his nieces: Ezzie and Laura; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Services will be private.
Andy will be deeply missed.

I'm so saddened to hear about Andy. He was my first boyfriend during the summer after 8th grade. He taught me that you can eat hot dogs cold, straight out of the fridge, and he helped me learn how to rollerblade. Sending love and comfort to your family.
