Barbara Ann Hornick

SALISBURY, NC - Barbara Ann Hornick, age 93, of Salisbury, NC, formerly of Madison, WI, passed away peacefully in her sleep on July 1, 2023, after a long period of declining health.
Barb was born on January 13, 1930, in Duluth, MN. After retiring from the UW Madison Department of Letters and Science she kept very active with water aerobics and solving crossword puzzles. She was an accomplished quilter and avid golfer. She especially enjoyed playing golf with her friends Judy and Karin. She was also very proud of her hole-in-one.
In addition to her parents, Barb was preceded in death by her siblings: James Desanto, Jerry DeSanto, Virginia Perschau and an infant brother, Joseph DeSanto. Barb is survived by her daughter, Susan (Don) Munro; sons: Anthony (Barb) Hornick and Joseph (Heather) Hornick; several grandchildren, and her sister, Peggy Hayes.

I will greatly miss you and Grandma. Always enjoyed the
holiday's with you. Will always remember the day you let me get your yellow sewing chair from upstairs to use for dinner. Always loved that chair. Getting ice cream that day after the orthodontist appointment is a memory I will always cherish. Good bye Grandma. Will
