To the family, her kids, I send my deepest heartfelt condolences. Bev was a second mom to me and always had a warm hug when I saw her, and I am feeling very sad about her passing. I have fond memories of growing up when my mom would bring me along to your home. They would have coffee and treats and sometimes you guys, teenagers then I think, would let me come bug you. Such great memories of Bev visiting the hospital after I had my babies. She really loved my newborn son, and she said it was the first time that she had held a baby so young; she said that she was "knocked out " when all of you were born. I won't forget her hugs, her perfume, her warmth towards a sad little girl (me), her humor or her laugh and beautiful smile. If you read this, please know that my late dad loved your dad and missed him so very much, when he got remarried and moved away. He was my dad's best friend and I know he loved him a lot. My dad passed away in 2016, and I miss him every day. Please take care and know that I am thinking about all of you and Brett, and I will pray for you and I send you lots of love and peace. It takes time and don't rush your grief. It can be a roller coaster. Just after my dad died, I was grocery shopping and saw pumpkins for sale and lost it. I was triggered by pumpkins!? Who knows why, but I just left and cried in my car. It is important to feel your feels. There were free drop in grief groups at Hospice in Fitchburg that really helped me, and also social workers that you can call.
