MIDDLETON / CROSS PLAINS - Bual "Dewayne" Thomason passed away after a brief illness on Thursday, October 2, 2025. He was born on April 23, 1932, the son of John Harvey and Flossie Drucilla (Evans) Thomason.
Dewayne was a resident of the Middleton/Cross Plains area since 1950. He worked for Mid Plains Telephone for over 30 years.
Dewayne is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Schulz of Fitchburg, Wis.; son, David (Diane) Thomason of Goodyear, Ariz.; grandchildren, April Schulz of Neillsville, Wis., Ross (Alyssa Dachel) Schulz of
Wisconsin Rapids, Wis., Shawn (Jenny) Thomason of Milton, Wis., and Paige (Blake) Heinley of Goodyear, Ariz.; great-grandchildren, Jordan Dachel of Wisconsin Rapids, Wis., Hazel Heinley of Goodyear, Ariz., Mia Thomason of Milton, Wis., and Madison Thomason of Milton, Wis.; brother, Bobby Thomason; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gail Thomason; son-in-law, Gary Schulz; and parents and several siblings.
Family will hold a private interment.
Special thanks to Trudy Fritsche for her many years of care and the staff at Cardinal View Senior Living for their care. Also, thank you to the staff at Agrace HospiceCare for the care they provided to Dewayne these last few months.
